The DISC is a framework used for understanding personality styles based on behavioral tendencies. The web enabled self assessment takes about 10-15 minutes. Respondents are advised to focus on their work environment, as they take the assessment.

A person's behaviour is a necessary and integral part of who they are. In other words, much of our behaviour comes from "nature" (inherent), and from "nurture"(our upbringing). It is based on the universal language of "how we act," or our observable human behavior.

The DISC assessment measures four dimensions of normal behavior. They are:

  • How do we respond to problems and challenges (Dominance)
  • How do we influence others to our point of view (Influence)
  • How do we respond to the pace of the environment (Steadiness)
  • How do we respond to rules and procedures set by others (Compliance)

While the respondents do the primary validation themselves, at times, they are encouraged to seek secondary validation from others who have been associated with them for some time.

It is one of the widely used assessments for self awareness & development, identifying effective ways of engaging with others and thus enhancing interpersonal effectiveness.
